Our teams intervene directly during each stage of life of our products, from research and development to assistance and after-sales service, passing through studies, design, manufacture and quality control. The VMI Group offers its customers a complete range of equipment that is either standardized (such as mixers and beaters for craftsmen, or laboratory blenders for the chemical, pharmaceutical or cosmetic industries) or specifically developed to perfectly respond to special needs, often in terms of automation, handling or security, mainly in the context of industrial applications. Our permanent quest for quality was rewarded in 1998 by obtaining the ISO 9001 certification / Version 2000.
VMI today is:

Research & Development

The cornerstone of the VMI organization, our R&D team is made up of engineers and technicians mastering areas as diverse but complementary as mechanics, electronics, automation or the theory of mixtures. A trained baker and a trained pastry chef, permanent members of the team, bring their expertise of dough mixing and blending to the service of the baking and pastry subsidiary. Several specialists of industrial mixtures of our industrial Division, Rayneri, allow supporting our R&D technicians during their daily quest for improvement of our technologies. There are not less than twenty patents that were filed by VMI during these past 10 years. Two testing laboratories, equipped with the most efficient production, testing and control materials, allow us to test on a large-scale level our major advances. They are also the laboratories that we make available to our customers so that they can, with our support, validate the perfect match between their manufacturing processes and our machinery and so we can identify together all the parameters that are best suited to their needs.

Design Departments

Around fifty persons constitute now our various design departments. Responsible for the design of all our lines of machines, 3 teams are working on the definition, optimization and reliability of different concepts implemented.

  • Design Department for the baking and pastry subsidiary
  • Design Department for the industrial subsidiary (Rayneri)
  • Design Department for automation

These design departments are equipped with design tools of the most efficient (CAD/CAM 3D of the latest generation, control systems)

Manufacturing

VMI has about 20000m2 of manufacturing and assembly workshops perfectly well organized for the most reliable and fast production that can be considered. Each range of machines is supported by a dedicated team, composed of fully qualified staff, particularly experienced in the techniques required for a quality manufacture. The industrial machinery are given particular attention since each of them is fully assembled and tested in our workshops, up till the smallest automatism, before being dismantled and shipped to its destination site where it will be reassembled by our intervention team. The same project manager oversees the installation in our workshops and the final assembly on site and until the initiation in the presence of customers.

Sales

There are three separate teams who are responsible for the sale of our products. True partners of our customers, these mixture technology specialists accompany them throughout their purchasing process by advising them on various technical as well as financial options available to them.

  • Sales team – Industrial BVP
  • Sales team – Rayneri

Made up of field men and women, permanently listening to the needs of our customers, our sales teams are also a privileged carrier of information back to our R&D and our design departments. The latter are often asked to meet at best, alongside our sales people, each particular case which can be presented to us.

Support, After-Sales Service

Through a global network of distribution and representation agents, the VMI Group provides a high quality support service. The Customer Support department, with 22 people, treats 600 orders per month, 100 phone calls and 60 faxes per day, and must hold some 100 to 120 maintenance visits of facilities per year. It is without any doubt important to note that 70% of spare part orders passed to us are delivered on the same day.
