A new plant in September 2017!

A new plant in September 2017!

Next September, VMI will move to a new custom-built plant, located in the town of Saint-Hilaire-de-Loulay (Vendée), in the Marches de Bretagne business park, in the Terres de Montaigu community of municipalities.

The building of the new premises is well under way and will be completed in August 2017. This new industrial infrastructure will support the growth of the company on its leading markets: bakery, on the one hand,  and chemicals-pharmaceuticals-cosmetics, on the other hand. The company will therefore leave its historical flagship in Montaigu, where it had set up in 1960, and organize a fast though gradual transfer of its production tool. As it will remain close to Montaigu, VMI will continue capitalizing on the skills and engagement of its 240 employees, and will remain an active member of the Vendée region's entrepreneurial community.

The buildings will house the whole of VMI's business: sales & admin departments, design offices, equipment assembly & tests, and Research & Application labs. Four production halls, each equipped with either 2 x 10-tonne or 2 x 5-tonne overhead cranes, will let us assemble very large size equipment. The overall production area will cover 13,000 square metres (140,000 square feet), and has been designed to be modular and scalable, in order to anticipate the company's organic growth and the development of its markets.

This new infrastructure will significantly increase the production capacity and above all performance and efficiency, to best serve VMI's customers. These will benefit from optimum reliability in the fast supply of high quality equipment, thanks to a radical improving of the flows. The industrial facilities remain at the core of the company's project, which relies on innovation and the development of customer service, among other elements. VMI's Research and Skill Centre will have 700 sqm (7,500 square feet) at its disposal and benefit from optimum conditions to continue and develop projects with its partners – whether industrialists, suppliers or university labs.

This significant step also shows the excellent response of our customers to the major technological developments of the last three years, and the trust VMI's shareholders place in the teams, and the potential of development on its markets, by strengthening its leading position. This major investment will help VMI keep its lead and ensure the rational growth of its business.

Our company will be exceptionally closed from 29th July until 25th August 2017, to allow us to move into new premises.
